It all started with a 16 mm Bolex film camera on an October afternoon in 1964. James Likens’ father purchased it in a bar and brought it home and told him to go make some money with it. After contacting a television station in Oklahoma City and being given several rolls of film to practice with, he saw a house fire on his way home. It was on the news at 5:30 PM. Since that time, he has spent much of his life looking through a viewfinder.
